Car Seat Low Down - which car seat is for you?

Every parent wants to ensure their child is safe when travelling in the car, but sometimes knowing what seat to opt for can be tricky business, especially if you’re a first time parent. With so many different groups, options and brands it can become a minefield.

In the 2016 Best Baby & Toddler Gear Awards, real mums and dads put all of the shortlisted car seats through vigorous testing to find out, which ones should be crowned the crème de la crème!

Group 0+ (rearward-facing baby car seat, for use from birth). 

Maxi Cosi Pebble Plus | Suitable from 0-12 months (birth to 75cm)

The Pebble Plus is recommended for use with the 2wayFix base offering a secure and rigid connection to the vehicle seat and easy click-and-go installation, but can also be installed using the car’s seat belt.

 



Group 0-1-2-3 (A car seat that transforms, taking you from rearward-facing at birth up to high backed booster at 12 years old).

Joie Every Stage | Suitable from birth to 12 years (0-36kg)

The Joie Every Stage car seat is four seats in one and will last child from birth right until 12 years old. It is suitable rearward facing from birth to four years and forward facing from nine months to 12 years. 



Extended Rear Facing (combination seat, both rearward and forward-facing car seat, for use from birth).

Joie Spin 360 | Suitable from birth to 4 years (0-18kg)

RECARO Optiafix | Suitable from 9 months - 4.5 years (9-18kg)

The Optiafix has an integrated RECARO fix base for easy installation, a 5-point harness with HERO technology that prevents belts from slipping or twisting and makes buckling up easy.

 



Group 1-2-3 (combination car seat/high-backed booster seats with harness, for use from approximately 9 months to 12 years).

Cosatto Hug | Suitable from 9 months to 12 years (9-36kg)

Group 2-3 (high-backed booster seats without harness, for use from approximately 4 years).
